Aviation history has long captivated retired educator Charles W. Arrington. He has contributed articles about aviation for nationally distributed magazines and written program text for a number of local air shows. Arrington, who lives in Louisville, Kentucky, has a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Louisville and a master’s degree in education from Western Kentucky University.

J. Nokes enjoys exploring the history of Southern Indiana. His previous
book, Images of America: Jeffersonville, Indiana (Arcadia
Publishing) celebrated the city’s bicentennial in 2002. He has a
bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Notre Dame and a
master’s degree in history from the University of Chicago. His other
interests include photography and computers. He lives with his wife and
four children in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
